omg okay
Okay, so. [info]imthelobster made a post about it, but now I'm going to, because... omg.

I AM BUYING A PLACE.

Do you have any idea how terrifying this is? I'm not sure I'm ready to be a grown up (even though my parents say I've been one for a while, psh.) I'm not sure I'm ready to own anything like this. (I'm not sure what this means about being stuck in Orlando, at least for a while longer than I originally thought/planned.)

vnsdkvkl ahhh.

I took the downpayment over this morning, and if all goes right I should be closing a week from today. Living there by the end of June / early July.

I'm just... so in shock, and so excited. It's close to work, it's nice, and... it's mine. Or, it will be. Really soon.

I CAN PAINT IT HOWEVER I WANT. (okay, no, seriously. I am more excited about this than I probably should be. COLOR SCHEMES, YOU GUYS. cndsjklvnklsdnbvl.)

I keep getting randomly spazzy. And I really wish I had pictures to post right now, but... I don't. Because I kind of fail that way, since I had a damn camera with me (two, if you count my cell phone as one) and didn't take a single shot of the place. wth, self.

So... yeah. omg. ::flails::

COLOR SCHEMES. I've lived in one apartment where my roomie and I painted and I loved it. It makes such a huge difference. The only downside is having to put it back when you're done. :( NOW IT WON'T MATTER! \o/

I'm like, ridiculously excited about painting. I don't even want any out-there colors or anything, just... omg not white! YAY!!

And I CAN BUY MATCHING BED SHEETS.

I feel like this is the stupidest thing ever, but I don't care. BED SHEETS. THAT MATCH.

I feel like it'll help me really think of the place as mine, I guess. Especially cause I remember how crazy happy my mom got when she bought her house and got to decorate xD

So what colors do you like? What style furniture? Have a scheme in mind? I so love hearing about these little details. ^^

I'd be excited about painting. I get excited about tile grout... cause I'm a dork.

Well the furniture, unfortunately, I won't be getting anything new. We sort of have a hodge podge collection of things, so I don't need new furniture right now, so I'm not spending the money on it. Sigh.

For colorsss... the master bedroom is going to be a nice pale green. Amy wants to do a splatter wall in there as well, which is totally cool. The master bath will probably be a pale blue, though honestly I'm not 100% sold.

Yellow in the kitchen, and we're probably replacing the counter tops with something light as well. The living room is just going to be beige... I wanted a good, deep orangeish accent wall, but Amy vetoed the accent wall, cause she doesn't like them. :( Might use the darker color on the trim, though.

We're going to put the same beige in the other two bedrooms. I figure if anyone ever moves into them that wants to paint them, that's fine, but for now I'll just leave them neutral.

I like light colors on walls... makes everything feel bigger and more open, I feel like.

What would be your alternative to the blue? The blue can be a beachy theme for you bathroom if you wanted.

I don't know how but I convinced monkey to let me have a pink bathroom.

All the other colors sound awesome XD Seems like you'll have a bright home!! There better be pictures. =P

I'm not sure, really. I like the blue, I'm just not 100% sure.. I dunno. I like purples in bathrooms, too, but I don't think Amy would let me lol. I know she'd never let me have pink. :(

There will definitely be pictures!! As soon as I can get in there again xD
