My nails are sparkly gold and pretty right now. I've become halfway obsessed with painting my nails... oops? It's good, though, because it keeps me from biting my nails, which is a habit I've needed to kick for a long time. My nails are long right now for the first time in a looooong time. :)

imthelobster and I got our Christmas tree up! This makes me ridiculously happy, you don't even know. It has twinkly lights and the ornaments are really pretty, and it really does a lot to get me into the mood for this freaking month. Heh. I took pictures of it on my phone, so I may or may not try to post them up if I can figure out how to get them off my phone and onto my comp >.>

I didn't post yesterday. :/ I kind of suck? But I was enjoying my first real opportunity to spend time with imthelobster in like.. I dunno.. a week? So I don't feel too badly about it, tbqh.

On that note, it is AMAZING to know that I'm on vacation right now!! Mostly we've just been sitting around doing nothing, and you know what? Sometimes that is all you need. Though we are going to do dinner tonight with fluffymaru, which should be fun. :D

Goals for tomorrow: go to the gym, clean out my car, and possibly finish "The Keymaster" achievement.

At least, I hate it on my mage... I'm tempted to start taking my priest through and being all healy in BGs and see how I feel about that. But first... enough marks for my first war mount vbnjsnlkv. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHICH ONE I WILL GET! Either the horse or the kitty, but I can't decide.

My morning thus far:

* buildyourwalls totally burned herself. You guys, I am not the person to have help you with injuries. I have nothing, I know nothing, I am useless.
* Watching the end of Love Actually. NFCNLKNLK THAT MOVIE MAKES ME HAPPY.
* Half-ass watching Donnie Darko. It's on in the background, and I've never seen it before. I really should actually watch it at some point, though. I have NO IDEA what it going on right now, heh.
* Working on Loremaster in WoW. Blegh. Getting bored, and kind of frustrated, with that.

Why do I like such shitty television sometimes? LOL. I've been watching Dancing with the Stars, and I have no idea why. The dancing really is kind of sub-par haha. But whatever, it gives me something to watch in the background.

So, for the next three days, imthelobster is opening at work, and I'm closing. :( I haaate days like that, especially when they come in stretches, because we basically don't see each other at all. I wish it didn't happen so freaking often. Sigh.

I don't like daylight savings. I feel all weird right now because the time isn't what it should be. >.> It gets dark so early!

So, barbed_whispers wants me to do National Blog Posting Month, where I post every day in the month of November. I still feel like my life is too boring for this, and I'm still not sure I'm committed to it 100%, but it seemed stupid to ruin my chances on the first day. SO.

NaNo starts today... I still feel slightly weird that I don't do it. I dunno. Good luck to everyone participating, though!

I meant to post about this earlier, but I'll post about it now!

This past Saturday imthelobster and I went to see Hanson at House of Blues. I CONTINUE TO LOVE THEM FOR ALL TIME. I don't even care that I get made fun of by some people for liking them so much, because they are sosososo good. They put on a great show and I love their music and just UNF. I'd put a set list in this post, but James put it in his phone and he's at work and I don't remember without seeing it >.>

Also, apparently Taylor decided to trade out his usual scarf for suspenders LOL. High-larious.

In the line before the show, I ran into an old friend, which was pretty cool and kind of strange at the same time. But I haven't seen her in a long time and it was nice to see her again, anyway. Not that a concert is the easiest of places to catch up... but you know.

So, does anyone else on my flist watch Bones? Other than imthelobster, clearly. I just finally saw the end of season 3, and.... OMGWTFWTFWTFWTF. I am still not okay, grrrr.

Just, WTF ZACK. HOW COULD ZACK?! ARGHHHHHHH

And then next season... no king of the lab! I just, blegh.

Let's not kid around, I'm sure I'll still love the show, because it's really all about Bones and Booth and the AMAZING UST that they have, but STILL.

In other TV news:
* I doubt I'll be going back to Gossip Girl, but we'll see, since it is Crack.
* I can't decide what I think of Vampire Diaries. It's not lulzy like I expected. It's not really good, but it's not really bad, and it's not like the book. So I don't know what keeps me watching.
* I LOVE GLEE. I LOVE GLEE SO RIDICULOUSLY I DO NOT EVEN KNOW.
* I'm an episode behind on Project Runway. I care, but I'm also bored. Bored, bored bored... I wish this season would spice up a little. I mean, I'll definitely catch up and finish the season, but still.
* I am behind on Supernatural, too. It's like a theme, huh? BUT I DON'T MEAN TO BE WITH THIS ONE. I don't even know, the show is SO GOOD. bjsdbjvsblvbsjvb ♥ the Winchesters.
* And SYTYCD! ...not that I have anything to really say about that right now, but since I'm going through the list of shows I'm watching... I have high hopes for this season to be better than last, though.

So I have six days off of work right now! WOOHOO! Or at least, sort of. I have a work meeting tonight, which is actually pretty annoying since it's in my vacation time, but whatever at least it's not a full shift or anything.

I've been really, really bad about reading my flist lately. I'm in the process of playing catch-up now... I may need to take some comms and shit off, because, wow. Some of these comms get waaaaaay too many posts a day. -_- So basically, link me to anything important? 'Cause I got to 120 back and decided I didn't want to read anymore. >.>

ZOMG I GOT A NEW COMPUTER MONITOR!!!

It is a 22" wide screen, and it is SO LOVELY I don't even. :D :D :D :D :D :D

I am justifying this purchase by calling it a birthday gift to myself.

I haven't been posting, because I feel like anytime I think of something to post, it's almost always negative. Then I feel bad posting it, because I feel like a lot of people are a lot worse off than me right now -- and not just the random whoever out in the world, but people I care about a lot.

So I decided okay, I'm going to post. But I'm going to do it with a few of the positives in my life.

imthelobster is amazing. I know I probably get somewhat sappy and ridiculous, but it's true, and it can't be said enough.

Having my mom living close by again is pretty nice. (Even if that comes with its own stress - not what this list is about!)

The new house is great! Not everything is unpacked, cause I suck at that, but I love the place. I don't regret the purchase at ALL, and I'm very excited about that.

Raiding in WoW has been pretty awesome lately.

I have great friends. I suck as a friend sometimes, with the not hanging out and not seeing people often, but it's still true that my friends are pretty damn amazing.

And because the icon reminded me: I've been rewatching Avatar, and holy SHIT do I love that show something fierce.

pink bikies duuuuude: I don't think either simplykatie or I can tell you for certain how this actually started. The first year she and I both participated in NaNo, we spent a LOT of time working on it together. Word wars, competing to see who would win first, encouragement, etc. On one of our many all-nighters that month, we got rather insane... and for some reason, just started repeating "OMG DUUUUUDE, HE'S RIDING A PINK BIKIE DUUUUUUUUUUDE!!!" over and over again. We were NUTS... and it stuck. It's kind of our phrase of encouragement now hahaha.

the bench of sadness: His Dark Materials, by Phillip Pullman. Basically, the end of the trilogy makes me sob like a ridiculous little baby, I love Lyra, and I love Will, and I love this bench omfg. I love it even more when paired with The Space Between (see icon).

satan wears glitter: I think this comes from a conversation I once had with sky_was_green? I really do not remember, though.

hyotei: Pretty simple one; I am a huge fan of Prince of Tennis (like, ridiculously so. It's pretty embarrassing how quickly I watched that entire series) and one of teams is named Hyotei, and it's (probably) my favorite team on the show.

the big toe: ahaha, okay. So basically, a group of us are all basically the same person. We named ourselves Randy. It started as myself, barbed_whispers, and pancakekiller. Later, simplykatie got added into the mix, as the big toe. Eventually she got upgraded, and now sky_was_green is the big toe. Or at least she was... I think we may have switched them back? Either way.

imthelobster and I went away this past weekend to celebrate our one year anniversary (and just to get away) and it was amazing. We went to the beach, near St. Pete but not actually on St. Pete, and it was just... omg so perfect. The weather was amazing, the water was amazing, the view from our hotel room was amazing. I really did not want to come home.

Also, The Village Inn has the absolute best pie ever. It was freaking heavenly, I swear. Ending up having dinner there was totally an accident, since we were looking for a little italian place that we never found, but it was totally worth it because YUM.

In other news, when we got back to town yesterday I went and got my hair done. It's now really short (see: spiky short) and a dark auburn. I LOVE IT. I was so, so nervous about doing it, but I'm really pleased with it right now. SOOO much better than it was before, thank god.

Also, we finally got desks to set up. So now we have internet, and a place to put our computers! haha. I'll be setting those up after work today, and then maybe we'll become involved in the internet world again. (I haven't played WoW in over a week, wtf?)

For locals: look for me at the community market this wednesday. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I should be going. :)

I almost got another post in before barbed_whispers was able to nudge me, but I had to wait until I got to work today. Sigh.

But! We got most of our stuff moved into the new place yesterday, WOOO. (This means no campout, though, sorry!) There's still some stuff left at the old house we need to get out, but we're moved enough to be living in the new place, finally. :D

I LOVE HAVING A BATHTUB AGAIN. OOOOOOMG.

One thing: We won't have internet until Thursday. Which is kind of lame, but whatever, maybe imthelobster and I can catch up on some tv :P

It's that time again... time to be reminded that I am horribly ignoring my journal these days. :P (I still do pretty well with reading, though! Not with commenting, but still...)

Yesterday, I went to this community market downtown with barbed_whispers. It was not at all what I was expecting, but it was unexpectedly awesome. I got some soap for my new place, that I totally admit is pretty much just for decorative purposes, but still. barbed_whispers bought me some really yummy fresh juice, and I think I will continue going to this market just for the juice. No, seriously.

There was also a set of coasters I really liked but didn't match anything I have well and also were kind of expensive, so I passed. Not sure I'll be able to pass on them if I see them again, though, tbqh.

Everything with the house is going well. The contractor should be done in there tomorrow or Monday, I believe, which is super exciting. When he's done I just have to get my dad to go through and do some minor electrical stuff, and then we can move in! I haven't gone to see it while he's in the process of painting etc, so I'm super excited to see what it looks like when he's done. Hopefully I don't end up hating the colors we chose, hahaha.

Met with a contractor today about painting the place, getting new kitchen countertops, and doing the few minor repairs that need to be done. It's gonna cost almost exactly what we were estimating, which is good because it means it's affordable. :P
Actually, we were estimating high, because I was originally estimating cost without including countertops for the kitchen, so that's pretty much excellent.

But OMG I am exhausted. Closed yesterday, met with contractor today, had to get insurance/power/water set up, run to the post office about the mailbox key, fight with my bank (because they are OH SO excellent wtf)... not to mention closing at work both days. I just want to sleep for a week now.
